Warbirds Over Arkansas 2005

June 9th - 12th, 2005
Presented by the Hans Ulrich Rudel R/C Flying Circus

Although not a WW1 only event, this annual giant scale warbird flying sponsored by Tom and Sue Hammer, epitomizes  WW1 Mission Oriented Flying with the Dawn Patrol guys up early (very early as you can see by some of the photos below) and flying. 

The weather and sky high gas prices conspired to keep the attendance low for 2005, but those dedicated souls who made the effort to participate were awarded with great times.

Most of the above images (if not all) are courtesy of Varqa Sharifu'l-Atibba' Manshadi. Varga used to live near Bloomington Indiana, and now lives in Arkansas.

WARBIRDS OVER ARKANSAS 2006, JUNE  8th -11th        Any Scale WWI, WWII, Golden Era & Vintage Aircraft to 1945.

 Early arrivals welcome. Come early and tour Eureka Springs.  Branson is only 35 miles.

WWI will do Dawn Patrol each morning from Dawn until 8 AM.

Each era aircraft will be called in rotation to fly with their respective types.

We are flexible, and will adjust, things to fit the airplane types present so everyone will get plenty of flying.

AMA required. Special invitation to IMAA.  This yers event open to any scale:  WWI, WWII, Golden Era & Vintage Aircraft to 1945.

A Special OK from the Air Boss that would allow the German ME 163 Comet & Gotha 229.

Visit Historic Eureka Springs the Victorian Switzerland of the Ozarks.. 

Branson is only 35 miles away. The Mennonites will again be cooking on Friday night and Saturday.

No landing fee. AMA required.  Just a gathering for the purpose of having Fun.

50/50 tickets.  Camping permitted, no power, no water,  port-a-potty.

Grill available for cooking.  There will be a generator for some charging power.

 Host hotel: Please make your reservations soon as town will be filling up.
