“Great War Radio Modelers”

21st-23rd 2007
At the “
National
Museum
of the
United
States
Air Force”
Dayton
,
Ohio
This event is open to
any scale aircraft up to the period of 1922.
- “Primary”
aircraft minimum wing span of 80” for monoplanes and 60” for
bi-planes/tri-planes required.
- If
bringing more than one aircraft then your second aircraft can be of any
size.
- A
registration form MUST be filled out for each of your aircraft.
- On
the back of your primary aircraft sheet, list ALL
names of people in your party, excluding yourself.
- As
usual, this event will consist of full-size WWI aircraft, R/C scale WWI
aircraft, period vehicles and
re-enactors in period costume.
You MUST be pre-registered to fly in this event.
(Registration closes June 30th.)
Flying area:
- There
will be 2 large grass runways, one at center stage and the other in front of
the R/C area.
- Each
flying area will have a maximum of 4 pilots and will be controlled by a
“Flight Boss”.
- Each
pilot MUST have a spotter.
- Transportation
provided to get you and your aircraft to center stage.
- Pilots
who have been practicing as a group will be given priority to fly at center
stage.
- Feel
free to bring your own shelter, but these MUST
be erected outside the R/C area.
- Overnight
camping is available but there are NO
hook-ups.
Registration Information:
- The
registration fee is $40 for all 3 days $30 for any 2 days
- Includes
lunch each day and the Saturday night buffet, if you have registered for
Saturday.
- R/C
Pilot sign-in will open up on Thursday afternoon and will remain open
throughout the event.
- Make
sure you bring your AMA card as this will need to be shown.
- Your
“Pilot Package” will contain a special pass to allow you and your
guest(s) into the R/C area and MUST
be worn at all times.
- If
you don’t wear your badge you will be refused entry into the R/C area. NO
EXCEPTIONS!
- Faster
sign in – just need your signature and your AMA card, so this should speed
up the process!
Restoration Tour:
“Restoration
Area” set up for Thursday evening, on a “First Come” basis. Once the coach
is full admission will be refused due to museum requirements!
